President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to commence a three-day visit to Goa on Tuesday, during which she will engage with the legislative assembly members and actively take part in the convocation ceremony of Goa University, as confirmed by a government official.
President Murmu’s itinerary for Tuesday includes a wreath-laying ceremony at the Martyr’s Memorial situated at Azad Maidan in the state capital of Panaji. Additionally, she will grace a civic reception hosted at the Raj Bhavan on the same day.
On Wednesday, President Murmu is poised to participate in the convocation ceremony of Goa University which is set to take place at the Durbar Hall within the Raj Bhavan. Furthermore, the President will engage in meaningful interactions with members of vulnerable tribal groups residing in the coastal state.
Additionally, on Wednesday, the President is scheduled to deliver an address to the legislators at the state assembly complex, as conveyed by the official spokesperson.
On Thursday, President Murmu is slated to explore the historical Fort Aguada, a remarkable 17th-century Portuguese architectural marvel nestled in North Goa. Following this, her itinerary includes a visit to the revered Basilica of Bom Jesus, a historic church that houses the relics of the esteemed 16th-century saint, Francis Xavier, situated in Old Goa.
President Murmu is also set to attend the renowned Shantadurga temple in Ponda before concluding her visit and returning to Delhi, the official further disclosed.
