The Fit For Life Center in Arlem hosted a press conference ahead of the 3rd Annual FFL Swim Meet, one of Goa’s largest competitive swimming events, scheduled to be held on June 28 and 29 at the Swimming Pool, Mormugao, Vasco.
Backed by title sponsor Speedo, the two-day event aims to promote swimming as a key sport in Goa while spreading awareness about drowning prevention and community water safety education. The meet will attract swimmers from across Goa and other Indian states.
Highlighting the support extended by the Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs and the Goa Swimming Association, founder Joe Shafiq Costa Pereira shared that the meet will feature touchpad timing systems, 5-star hotel stay vouchers for winners, and a strong emphasis on community engagement.
The press interaction saw the presence of Mr. Digambar Kamat, MLA of Margao and Ex-President of the Goa Swimming Association, along with Mr. Yogiraj Kamat, the current President of the association.
“This initiative not only celebrates athletic excellence but also strengthens our efforts toward building a safety-conscious swimming culture,” said Pereira.
