In the silent precision of a well-rehearsed strike, two young girls from Goa carved out a golden chapter at the 2025 Asmita Khelo India Pencak Silat Women’s League National (Sub-Junior) held in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh.

Adyasha Priyadarshine Samal and Subhashree Jethy—both under 10—stepped onto the mat not to fight each other, but to perform a fight together. This is the essence of the Ganda event in Pencak Silat for sub-juniors: a choreographed display of combat that requires not only technical skill but trust, timing, and the theatrical grit of young minds learning to move as one.

Their performance, equal parts disciplined and dramatic, earned them the top podium finish, bringing home the gold for Team Goa and turning heads across the national martial arts circuit.

“This win reflects the dedication, discipline, and spirit of our young athletes, as well as the support of their families,” said Anthony Cedly Braganza, Head Coach and General Secretary of the Pencak Silat Association of Goa (PSAG).

It’s more than a medal. It’s a quiet testament to Goa’s steady, determined rise in the Indian martial arts landscape—led not by noise, but by the clarity of purpose that even the smallest warriors seem to carry.
