EIH Ltd Plans Luxurious Oberoi Resort at Cavelossim

EIH Ltd, a prominent player in the hospitality sector, has announced the approval of a lavish Oberoi resort project at Cavelossim beach in South Goa by its board.

In a stock exchange filing, EIH stated, “The company, in its Board Meeting held today (March 28, 2024), has approved the construction of an Oberoi Luxury Resort at Cavelossim Beach in South Goa on a 52 acres site owned by the company.”

Named The Oberoi, Goa, the resort will encompass 90 rooms and suites spread across its expansive grounds. It is slated to commence operations on October 1, 2027, with an estimated investment of Rs.421 crore. Funding for the project will be sourced from internal accruals and debt.

The resort is poised to offer luxurious accommodations, cutting-edge amenities, and a diverse range of dining experiences curated by renowned chefs, promising an unparalleled culinary journey for guests.

In addition to its opulent offerings, the resort will provide various recreational activities and wellness facilities. Guests can partake in water sports, immerse themselves in the local culture, or simply unwind by the poolside, relishing the scenic vistas.

Moreover, EIH has entered into a new hotel management agreement for an upscale Oberoi resort situated at Bogmalo beach in South Goa, further expanding its presence in the region.

The Oberoi brand has been a pioneer in Goa’s hospitality landscape since the 1980s, with its Bogmalo property being one of the earliest investments during Goa’s tourism boom, coinciding with the renowned Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) retreat.
