St Anthony High School Monte Guirim showcased an incredible performance, securing a commanding 25-0 win over Holy Cross High School Siolim in the Nehru Hockey tournament on Thursday. The tournament, organized by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, was held at the Peddem Astroturf, where Monte Guirim’s team proved their dominance and booked their spot in the semifinals.
Princess Tirkey was the standout player for Monte Guirim, netting an astounding 12 goals, leaving the opposition stunned with her speed, precision, and ability to find the back of the net with ease. Riddhi Hadfadkar also contributed significantly to the victory, scoring six goals and solidifying the team’s grip on the match.
Riddhi Shejwadkar and Abigail Nayak each added a goal to the tally, further widening the gap between the two teams. Deantha Pacheco scored a brace, while Krislyn Menezes capped off the remarkable performance with a hat-trick, rounding out a near-perfect team display.
