Henry Cavill and Kevin Hart are set to headline a new action-comedy film about rival spies whose lives collide through their wives' friendship. The untitled project is directed by McG and is based on a short story by Sean Lewis.

Hollywood actors Henry Cavill and Kevin Hart are set to headline a new untitled action-comedy film that will see the pair play rival spies whose lives become unexpectedly intertwined.

According to details released about the project, Cavill and Hart portray competing intelligence operatives who cross paths during a Lamaze class attended by their wives. As their spouses develop a friendship, the two men find their personal and professional lives colliding in increasingly complicated and humorous ways.

The film’s synopsis states: “Their double lives collide in unexpectedly hilarious and dangerous ways forcing the two men to reluctantly become confidantes and partners on the road to fatherhood.”

The project will be directed by McG from a screenplay written by Adam Nee, Aaron Nee and Jonathan Tropper. It is based on a short story by Sean Lewis.

Hart will also serve as a producer through his Hartbeat banner alongside Luke Kelly-Clyne and Bryan Smiley. Additional producers include Shawn Levy, Dan Levine and Emily Morris for 21 Laps, and Ryan Reynolds, George Dewey and Patrick Gooing for Maximum Effort.

The film adds to the busy schedules of both stars, with Cavill attached to the upcoming “Highlander” reboot, while Hart is preparing for the release of his comedy film “72 Hours,” scheduled to debut on July 24, 2026.
