Goa Budget 2026: CM Pramod Sawant to Present Seventh Budget

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant will present the 2026–27 state Budget in the Assembly on Friday. The Budget Session of the Goa Legislative Assembly will continue until March 27.

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant will present the Goa State Budget for the financial year 2026–27 in the Goa Legislative Assembly on Friday. The presentation will mark the seventh time Sawant delivers the state budget.

The Budget Session of the Goa Legislative Assembly will begin on March 6 and continue until March 27. The budget presentation is scheduled to start at 3.30 pm and is expected to last around two hours.

Sawant said the budget will include several measures aimed at the development and welfare of the people of Goa. He indicated that the government intends to focus on human resource development and infrastructure in the upcoming financial plan.

The Chief Minister had earlier chaired pre-budget consultation meetings on February 28 with representatives from various sectors and industry bodies.

Participants included representatives from solar energy associations, barge owners, chartered accountant and company secretary associations, the Goa Union of Journalists, industry bodies such as GCCI, LUB, Verna Industries, GSIA and BNI, as well as associations representing pharmaceuticals, tourism, restaurants, liquor, cashew processing, event management, real estate, petrol pumps and the mining sector.

According to the government, the consultations gathered sector-specific inputs on improving ease of doing business, boosting tourism, supporting MSMEs, promoting green energy and generating employment opportunities.

Sawant said the government aims to present a participative and growth-oriented budget focused on economic development while ensuring inclusive progress across sectors in Goa.
