Goa’s chase of a 364-run target fell 32 runs short against Chandigarh in the CAP U-19 Men’s Inter-State One-Day Tournament (Siechem Trophy 2026) after both sides posted more than 330 runs in a high-scoring match at the Siechem CAP Ground 2 in Puducherry on Thursday.

After winning the toss and electing to field, Goa allowed Chandigarh to post 363 for 7 from their 50 overs. Rupesh Yadav struck 116 from 94 balls while Rithwik Sood added 111 off 91 deliveries to lay the foundation for Chandigarh’s total. Meet Dahiya remained unbeaten on 32.

Govind Sawal was Goa’s most successful bowler, returning figures of 3 for 56, while Vedant Dabral picked up two wickets.

Goa responded with a determined batting effort but finished on 331 for 8 from 50 overs.

Aaditya Kota led the chase with 86 from 80 balls, while Vinit Kamat contributed 61. Mohit Yadav kept Goa in contention with a rapid 67 off 39 deliveries, hitting three fours and five sixes, but the required run rate proved too steep in the closing overs.

For Chandigarh, Ankan Latka and Rupesh Yadav claimed two wickets each. Mohd Zaid, Rishit Saini, Gaganpreet Singh and Akul Bhanot took one wicket apiece as Chandigarh completed a 32-run victory.

The result handed Chandigarh the win despite Goa producing one of the stronger batting performances of the tournament, with three half-centuries during the chase.
