Indian Institute of Management Nagpur has listed Goa as part of a proposed multi-campus expansion strategy under its Strategic Roadmap 2026-31, though no formal campus proposal, location or timeline has been announced.
The institute outlined the roadmap during a media interaction, with Director Bhimaraya Metri saying the next five years would focus on wider national and global impact through executive education, artificial intelligence, India-centric research, energy and climate leadership, entrepreneurship and regional development.

“IIM Nagpur [wants] to be globally respected, deeply rooted in India’s priorities and capable of creating meaningful impact through education, research, innovation and leadership,” Metri said.
The roadmap refers to a multi-campus strategy that includes exploring expansion to Goa, alongside international collaborations with foreign universities, joint research and faculty and student exchanges.
No details have been announced on a possible Goa campus’s location, land requirement, courses, funding, student capacity or launch timeline. The reference currently remains part of IIM Nagpur’s longer-term institutional plan rather than a confirmed project.
The institute also said it aims to rank among India’s top three institutions for executive education, supported by flexible and industry-integrated learning programmes. It plans to expand AI-led management education through AI-integrated teaching, future-focused programmes and its MARVEL AI research and development centre.
Its roadmap also identifies energy and climate leadership as a priority, citing its Executive MBA in Energy Management with NPTI, engagement with ONGC Green Limited, a proposed Centre of Excellence for Heat Resilience and Sustainable Cooling with NRDC, campus expansion and a net-zero vision.
