Emergency response teams in Qatar attended to a fire in an industrial zone after debris from an intercepted aerial threat fell to the ground, authorities confirmed.
The Ministry of Interior stated that Civil Defence personnel were handling a “limited fire” caused by shrapnel from a missile intercepted by the country’s defence systems. Officials added that no injuries have been reported.
The incident followed a broader aerial attack on Qatar. The Ministry of Defence said the country was targeted by 14 ballistic missiles and several drones.
In an official update, authorities confirmed that the armed forces successfully intercepted all drones and 13 of the missiles. One missile landed in an uninhabited area after bypassing primary defence systems, but caused no damage or casualties.
Officials said the situation remains under control, with emergency services continuing operations at the affected site.
The armed forces remain on high alert as tensions persist in the region. The incident comes amid an ongoing conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran, which has escalated over recent weeks.
