Streaming platform Prime Video on Thursday unveiled a slate of new international projects, including a reboot of the Japanese manga Fist of the North Star, the first US adaptation of Mercedes Ron’s 30 Sunsets para enamorarte, and the France-Italy co-production Masterplan starring Stanley Tucci.
The announcement was made during a virtual showcase broadcast live from London. Pre-recorded interviews featured author Mercedes Ron; actor Nicole Wallace, known for Culpa Mia; South Korean actor Park Min-young; and Tucci, among others.
The new and upcoming titles span multiple territories.
Latin America
Colombia will see the revival of Yo soy Betty, la fea, which inspired the global hit Ugly Betty, returning for a third season 24 years after its original run. Ana María Orozco reprises her iconic role.
In Chile, an adaptation of Isabel Allende’s novel The House of the Spirits is in development, with Wallace cast as Clara del Valle.
Mexico will debut Vengeance, the first Mexico-produced Amazon Original film, which is scheduled for a theatrical release this month.
Europe
In Italy, Wallace stars in Postcards from Italy, directed by Jessica Yu. Another Italian project, No Place to Be Single, adapts a novel by best-selling author Felicia Kingsley.
Spain will release more adaptations of Ron’s work, including Zeta, starring Mario Casas, along with Apocalypse Z: Part II and the second season of Red Queen.
In the United Kingdom, the Sophie Turner-led Steal has recently premiered, while the original series Bait is set to launch next month.
One of the most anticipated projects is Masterplan, a France-Italy co-production directed by Thomas Vincent. The film stars Tucci as a father attempting to reconnect with his estranged children by persuading them to help him steal the Mona Lisa.

Tucci, who is preparing to promote The Devil Wears Prada 2, said he was drawn to the project because of its “incredibly funny and weird” script.
“I thought it was one of the best characters I’ve ever read, and I was thrilled to be asked to play it; it’s an actor’s dream,” he said.
Asia
In Japan, Prime Video has secured exclusive worldwide rights to a reboot of Fist of the North Star and a new adaptation of The Ghost in the Shell.
South Korea will feature several upcoming series, including psychological thriller Siren’s Kiss starring Park and Wi Ha-joon, meta romantic comedy Absolute Value of Romance, and workplace romance drama See You at Work Tomorrow! (working title).
The platform’s expanded international slate reflects its continued investment in multilingual storytelling and cross-border productions aimed at global audiences.
