Fr Agnel Sports and Cultural Club, Paroda, secured a 2–0 victory over CAC Cansaulim to advance to the quarterfinals of the 32nd All-Goa Inter-Village Football Tournament at the Utorda ground.
The tournament is organised by United Club of Utorda in association with the Sports Authority of Goa.
The opening half saw both teams locked in a competitive battle, creating scoring opportunities but failing to convert. The teams went into the break goalless.
After the restart, Paroda asserted control over the proceedings. Steven Menezes broke the deadlock with a well-taken goal before Godwin Fernandes added a second to seal the win and confirm their passage to the last eight.
Livan Clement of Fr Agnel Sports and Cultural Club, Paroda, was named Man of the Match. The award was presented by chief guest Raymond Azavedo in the presence of Benny Vaz.
