
The third day of the Junior Cricket Championship organised by Oxford Cricket Club witnessed commanding performances from both batsmen and bowlers, as teams battled it out across SAG Ground in Chicalim and Arlem Ground.
At SAG Ground, Margao Cricket Club secured a 21-run victory over Panjim Challengers. Riding on Keyaan Thota’s unbeaten 81, Margao posted 166 for four in 25 overs. Jonas Pereira added 42 to strengthen the total.
In reply, Panjim Challengers mounted a steady chase with Vansh Kudtarkar scoring 56 and Pramay Prabhu contributing 37. However, disciplined bowling from Om Harer and Aryaveer Ravalnathkar, who claimed two wickets each, restricted them to 145 for four. Keyaan Thota was named Man of the Match for his match-winning knock.
In another fixture at the same venue, Power Panthers Porvorim registered a six-wicket win over Oxford. After dismissing Oxford for 112 in 23 overs, with Nirvan Azgaonkar taking three wickets and Sumedh Parab picking up two, Porvorim chased down the target in 16.5 overs.
Sumedh Parab top-scored with 41, while Sahil Metri added 34 to guide the team home comfortably. Parab was adjudged Man of the Match for his all-round effort.
At Arlem Ground, Ghumteshwar produced a dominant display to defeat AK Rangers by 10 wickets. AK Rangers managed 131 for nine in 25 overs, with Sahil Gaonkar scoring 32.
In response, Rehan Hubali (54 not out) and Sachin Bora (69 not out) stitched together an unbeaten opening stand, steering Ghumteshwar to 134 without loss in 19.1 overs. Bora was declared Man of the Match.

In a closely contested match, Dhadsakhal Stars edged past Banjara Cricket Club by three wickets. Banjara posted 149 for five in their 25 overs, led by Chetan Lamani’s 72.
Dhadsakhal Stars successfully chased the target in 20.4 overs, powered by Adeep Prabhu Misquin’s 63. He was named Man of the Match for his decisive innings.
