Manipal Hospital Goa staff conducted a beach cleanup at Caranzalem. The initiative highlighted links between sanitation and public health.

Marking World Water Day, Manipal Hospital Goa organised a beach cleanup drive at Caranzalem Beach, focusing on water conservation and sanitation awareness.

Hospital Director Surendra Prasad, along with staff members, participated in the drive, collecting waste along the shoreline. The activity also aimed to sensitise the public about protecting water bodies from pollution.

Addressing participants, Prasad said that access to clean water remains essential for maintaining public health. He added that such initiatives are intended to raise awareness about water conservation and the importance of hygiene in everyday surroundings.

The drive also underlined the connection between environmental cleanliness and the prevention of waterborne diseases, with organisers highlighting the need for sustained community participation in such efforts.
