Additional special trains will be operated to manage the increased passenger demand during the Good Friday and Easter period, as well as the summer season of 2026, with services connecting Goa to Bengaluru and Mumbai.
A special train (06271) from Yesvantpur to Madgaon will depart at 11:55 pm on April 2, 2026, and is scheduled to arrive at Madgaon at 5:30 pm the following day. The return service (06272) from Madgaon to Bengaluru Cantonment will depart at 11:00 am on April 5, reaching its destination at 5:20 am the next day.
These services will halt at multiple stations along the route, including key stops across Karnataka and the Konkan belt such as Udupi, Karwar, and Canacona.
The train will consist of 19 coaches, including AC 2-tier, AC 3-tier, sleeper, general, and SLR coaches. Bookings for the return service will open on April 1 through Passenger Reservation Systems and the IRCTC platform.
In addition, a weekly summer special train will operate between Mumbai CSMT and Madgaon from April 5 to June 7, 2026. The Mumbai–Madgaon service (01019) will depart every Sunday at 12:55 am and reach Madgaon at 3:15 pm the same day.
The return train (01020) will leave Madgaon at 4:00 pm on Sundays and arrive at Mumbai CSMT at 3:50 am the following day.
These trains will halt at major stations along the Konkan Railway route, including Thivim and Karmali in Goa, as well as key stations in Maharashtra such as Ratnagiri and Sawantwadi Road.
The Mumbai–Madgaon train will have a total of 22 coaches, including AC, sleeper, general, and SLR coaches. Bookings for the return service will also open on April 1 via PRS counters and online platforms.
The additional services are aimed at easing travel during peak holiday periods.
