A container truck overturned on the Bambolim–Santa Cruz slope along NH-66 on Monday, leading to traffic diversions for vehicles heading towards Panaji from the Bambolim side.
According to traffic authorities, vehicular movement from Bambolim towards Panaji has been diverted via Santa Cruz near the Nexa showroom to ease congestion and facilitate clearance operations at the site.
Heavy vehicles travelling from South Goa towards Panaji have been advised to avoid the affected stretch and instead proceed through the Borim–Ponda route until normal traffic flow is restored.
Motorists have been urged to exercise caution while travelling through adjoining roads, follow directions issued by traffic personnel, and drive safely in the area.
No injuries or fatalities had been reported at the time of reporting. Authorities are expected to continue traffic management measures until the overturned truck is removed and the highway is cleared for regular movement.
