The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has declared the Class 12 (HSC) examination results for February–March 2026, recording an overall pass percentage of 89.79%. This marks an increase of 2.09 percentage points compared to last year.
As in previous years, girls have outperformed boys in the examination. Among the nine divisional boards, the Konkan division has recorded the highest pass percentage, while the Latur division remains at the bottom.

Key Highlights
A total of 14,44,713 regular students had registered for the examination across nine divisional boards—Pune, Nagpur, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Amravati, Nashik, Latur and Konkan. The exams covered multiple streams including Science, Arts, Commerce, vocational courses and ITI.
Of the registered candidates, 14,33,058 students appeared for the exams, and 12,86,843 passed, resulting in the overall pass percentage of 89.79%.
Among private candidates, 37,559 students had registered, of whom 36,941 appeared and 29,634 passed. This category recorded a pass percentage of 80.21%.
For repeat candidates, 50,876 students registered, with 50,346 appearing for the exams. Of these, 18,349 passed, resulting in a significantly lower pass percentage of 36.44%.
A total of 8,446 differently-abled students registered for the examination. Of these, 8,367 appeared and 7,579 passed, achieving a pass percentage of 90.58%.
