The Union Home Ministry has notified the list of designated immigration posts across the country for international passengers, covering air, sea, rail, and land routes.

In a gazette notification issued under the Immigration and Foreigners Order, 2025, the ministry named 37 airports, 34 seaports and river ports, 37 international land crossings, and six railway stations as official entry and exit points for overseas travellers.

The list of airports includes major hubs like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Kolkata, along with regional airports such as Bagdogra, Gaya, Indore, Surat, and Tirupati. Goa will now have two designated airports — Dabolim and the Manohar International Airport in Mopa.

Among the seaports cleared for immigration are Chennai, Cochin, Mumbai, Visakhapatnam, Paradip, Kandla, Nhava Sheva, and Mormugao. Ports in Lakshadweep, Assam, Kerala, and Odisha also feature on the list.

For international travelers crossing on land, Attari Road in Punjab, Moreh in Manipur, Jogbani and Raxaul in Bihar, Sonauli in Uttar Pradesh, and several points along the borders of West Bengal, Assam, Tripura, and Mizoram will serve as immigration posts.

Rail travelers can enter and exit India through six notified railports, including Attari in Punjab, Munabao in Rajasthan, and four in West Bengal such as Petrapole and New Jalpaiguri.

With this notification, the MHA has streamlined immigration checks across all major routes — ensuring smoother travel and better monitoring of cross-border movement.
