Antonio Moyano scored twice as Diamond Harbour FC beat Aizawl FC 2-0. The win takes Diamond Harbour to the top of the IFL table.

Aizawl, March 20: Diamond Harbour FC moved to the top of the table with a 2-0 win over Aizawl FC in Match 19 of the Indian Football League (IFL) 2025-26 at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium on Friday.

Antonio Moyano scored both goals in the second half to seal the victory, finding the net in the 47th and 77th minutes.

The result marks Diamond Harbour’s third straight win of the season, taking them to nine points, while Aizawl FC slipped to seventh with five points.

Both teams started in 4-3-3 formations. Aizawl FC made two changes to their lineup, introducing Laldanmawia and Eric Remruatpuia Chhangte. Diamond Harbour FC also made two alterations, bringing in Sunday Kolawole Afolabi and R Ramdinthara.

Diamond Harbour controlled the early exchanges, dominating possession and dictating the pace of the game. Aizawl adopted a cautious approach and gradually settled into the match, creating a few half-chances towards the end of the first half.

Despite the visitors’ control, Aizawl’s defence held firm, restricting clear opportunities and keeping the attack in check before the break.

The breakthrough came shortly after halftime. Moyano capitalised on a defensive error to collect a loose ball and finish past the goalkeeper to give Diamond Harbour the lead.

Aizawl pushed forward in search of an equaliser but struggled to create clear chances.

Diamond Harbour extended their advantage in the 77th minute when Moyano finished from close range after being set up inside the box.

The visitors maintained control for the remainder of the match. Play was briefly interrupted due to mist and poor light, resulting in 11 minutes of added time, but Aizawl were unable to mount a comeback.

Diamond Harbour saw out the game comfortably to secure an away win and move to the top of the standings.
