LSG sealed a dramatic last-ball win over KKR at Eden Gardens. Mukul Choudhary and Ayush Badoni starred in the chase of 182.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) defeated Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by three wickets in a last-ball thriller in the 15th match of the IPL 2026 at Eden Gardens on Thursday.

Chasing a target of 182, LSG crossed the line in the final over, registering their second win of the season. The chase was anchored by Ayush Badoni and finished in style by Mukul Choudhary.

LSG had a shaky start as Vaibhav Arora removed Mitchell Marsh (15) and Aiden Markram (22) during the powerplay. Captain Rishabh Pant added 10 before falling, leaving the side at 73/3 in nine overs.

Badoni steadied the innings with a composed 54 off 34 balls, including seven fours and two sixes. During the knock, he also completed 1,000 IPL runs, becoming the third player from LSG to reach the milestone.

KKR bowlers kept the pressure on, with Sunil Narine and Anukul Roy controlling the middle overs. Roy dismissed Badoni in the 15th over, reducing LSG to 125/6.

Mukul Choudhary then turned the match in LSG’s favour with an unbeaten 54 off 27 balls. His innings included seven sixes and proved decisive in the closing stages. With 14 runs required in the final over, Choudhary held his nerve to take LSG over the line.

For KKR, Anukul Roy (2/32) and Vaibhav Arora (2/38) were the standout bowlers.

Earlier, KKR posted 181/4 in their 20 overs after being put in to bat. Ajinkya Rahane (41 off 24) and Angkrish Raghuvanshi (45 off 33) added 84 runs for the second wicket to stabilise the innings after Finn Allen fell early.

The partnership was broken by Digvesh Singh Rathi, who dismissed Rahane. Raghuvanshi fell soon after to Manimaran Siddharth, and Rinku Singh was bowled by Avesh Khan.

KKR were 115/4 after 15 overs before Rovman Powell (39* off 24) and Cameron Green (32* off 24) added late runs to push the total past 180.

Mohammed Shami was the most economical bowler for LSG, conceding 27 runs in four overs, while Siddharth, Rathi, Avesh Khan, and Prince Yadav picked up a wicket each.
