The Goa Cricket Association (GCA) will inaugurate newly installed floodlights at its ground in Porvorim on March 20, 2026, at 6 pm.
The ceremony will be led by Chetan Dessai and Balu (Vinod) Phadke, in the presence of affiliated club members and invited guests.
An exhibition match between President XI and Secretary XI will be held following the inauguration. The match will be played under lights, marking the venue’s transition to hosting day-night fixtures.
The addition of floodlights is expected to expand cricketing activity at the ground, allowing for extended playing hours and improved conditions for players and spectators.
