The Goa Cricket Association (GCA) has congratulated young cricketer Venkata Chigurupati on his selection to the India Men’s Under-19 Multi-Day squad for the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka.
The selection marks a significant milestone for the Goa cricketer, who has progressed through the ranks with consistent performances and dedication to the game. His inclusion in the national squad is being seen as a boost for cricket in the state and reflects the continued development of young talent in Goa.
GCA President and former Ranji Trophy player Mahesh Dessai welcomed the announcement and praised the youngster’s efforts.
“Venkata’s selection to the India U-19 squad is a well-deserved reward for the hard work he has put in over the years. It is encouraging to see a Goan cricketer progressing to the national level. This achievement will motivate many aspiring cricketers in the state to dream big and work towards representing India. I wish him the very best for the Sri Lanka tour,” Dessai said.
Goa Cricket Association Secretary Tulsidas Shetye also congratulated the player on behalf of the association.

The India Under-19 team is scheduled to tour Sri Lanka, where it will play a series consisting of three One-Day matches and two Multi-Day matches.
The Goa Cricket Association said it looks forward to seeing Chigurupati represent the country during the tour and wished him success in India colours.
