An all-Goa music video competition titled “Geet Chitrangi” has been announced, with strict eligibility norms limiting participation to Goan individuals, production houses, institutions, and students. The competition mandates that all key contributors—including director, technicians, and artists—must be Goan residents, with valid government ID or address proof required.
The competition will feature ten songs, with participants required to create a music video based on a song by Damu Naik, allotted during the official selection event. Separate prizes will be awarded for each song.
Registration and Key Dates
Participants must register through an offline or Google form. The last date for online registration is May 11, 2026, at 5 pm. Offline registrations will continue until the song selection event scheduled on May 13, 2026, at 6 pm at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao. Registration is free.
Participants must select their assigned song in person or through an authorised representative with a valid authority letter. Final video submissions must be made physically on a pen drive, along with the prescribed form, by June 7, 2026, at 7 pm. Online submissions will not be accepted.
Participation Guidelines
Each applicant can submit a maximum of three entries for different songs. Artists and technicians are allowed to work on multiple videos. Videos must be shot in Full HD (1080p) or higher resolution, including footage captured on mobile devices.
The competition prohibits the use of stock footage and pre-shot clips. All content must be created within the competition period. Only pen drive submissions will be accepted.
Once shortlisted for jury screening, entries will be uploaded on the competition’s social media handles, with 10% weightage assigned to engagement metrics such as likes and shares.

Entries may be disqualified under several conditions, including:
- Submission in incorrect format or medium
- Participation by non-Goan residents
- Content deemed vulgar or insulting
- Poor digital quality
- Attempt to influence jury members

A jury of up to five members will evaluate the entries. The jury’s decision will be final and binding, with no scope for appeal.
