
Oxford Cricket Club registered a comprehensive 131-run victory over Aim Cricket Academy ‘B’ from Sawantwadi in the Late Rajan Bhai Angane Memorial Under-16 Cricket Tournament on Thursday.
Playing at the Boarding Ground in Malvan, Oxford opted to bat first and posted 234 all out in 34.2 overs. Adeep Prabhu Miskin led the innings with a 62-ball 102, striking 12 fours and five sixes. Captain Tanishq Naik contributed 22 runs, while Harsh Nain added 18.
In response, Aim Cricket Academy ‘B’ were bowled out for 103 in 26.2 overs. Svanik Phadte top-scored with 33 runs, with Nanthan Sawant (18) and Saish Virnodkar (17) also getting starts.
Abhisek Lamani led Oxford’s bowling attack with figures of 5 for 29 in seven overs. Barhaan Dash claimed two wickets, while Mubarak Tadapatri and Tanishq Naik picked up one wicket each.
Lamani was named Man of the Match for his bowling performance.
Oxford Cricket Club will next face Ved Sports Club of Kolhapur on Friday.
