The 12th edition of the Rotary Rain Run (RRR) marathon will be held on Sunday, July 26, organisers announced.
Organised by the Rotary Club of Porvorim, the event is held during the monsoon season and has become an annual fixture on Goa’s sporting calendar since it was first launched in 2015.
Announcing the event, Rotary Rain Run chairman Avinash Parmar said the marathon promotes fitness, community participation and supports Rotary’s social initiatives.
“Since its inception in 2015, RRR has grown into one of Goa’s most anticipated annual events, attracting runners from across India and beyond,” Parmar said.
According to the organisers, the marathon combines competitive running with entertainment and community activities. The event will feature live music, drummers positioned along the route, volunteers, and family-oriented activities at the venue, including games for children and adults.
The organisers said the event has earned the informal title of the “RunFest of Goa” because of its festival atmosphere.
Co-chairperson Shephan Shaikh said the marathon has also served as a platform to raise funds for Rotary’s community programmes.
“RRR is not just a run. It is a movement for change. Over the years, it has supported major Rotary initiatives in women’s health, education, and community development, touching thousands of lives through funds raised from the event,” Shaikh said.
Shaikh said the annual marathon brings together runners, fitness enthusiasts, families and local communities.
“On 26th July 2026, we once again invite seasoned athletes, first-timers, and families seeking a meaningful monsoon experience,” Shaikh said.
