Goa returned with two medals from the 14th National Pencak Silat Championship 2026 held from June 25 to 28 at the Sarveshwar Mahadev Trust Hall in Topvan, Nashik, Maharashtra.
Adashya Samal won the silver medal, while Dripthi Jha secured the bronze medal, marking one of Goa’s strongest performances at the national championship.
The Goa team competed under the leadership of Goa Pencak Silat Association President and Head Coach Anthony Cedly Braganza. Madhu Chauhan served as the team manager during the championship.
The association said the medals reflected the athletes’ dedication and preparation for the national event, which featured competitors from across the country.
Congratulating the medal winners, the Goa Pencak Silat Association also acknowledged the efforts of the athletes, coaches, officials and supporters who were part of the state’s campaign.

The championship was held over four days in Nashik, Maharashtra, bringing together Pencak Silat practitioners from states across India.
