However, their final-third execution lacked sharpness. Odisha FC, in contrast, looked dangerous on the counter, with Rahim Ali and Isak Vanlalruatfela testing the Bengaluru defence intermittently.
Odisha took the lead in the 34th minute through a quick transition. Lalrinfela Khiangte intercepted a throw-in and released Rahim Ali with a precise through ball. Rahim showed composure, advancing into the box before finishing low into the bottom corner past Gurpreet Singh to give Odisha the advantage.
Bengaluru attempted to respond before half-time but failed to register a meaningful effort on target, as Odisha’s defensive unit, marshalled by Carlos Delgado, held firm. Odisha carried their lead into the break after a composed first-half display.
The equaliser came early in the second half following a tactical adjustment. Substitute Soham Varshneya made an immediate impact, winning a penalty in the 47th minute. Braian Sánchez stepped up and converted emphatically, firing into the top corner to restore parity.
