Diamond Harbour FC secured a dramatic 5-4 victory over Namdhari FC in a nine-goal thriller in the Indian Football League (IFL) 2025–26 at the Namdhari Football Stadium in Ludhiana on Monday.
Antonio Moyano delivered a standout performance, scoring once and assisting three goals to guide Diamond Harbour to an important win. The result extends their lead at the top of the table to four points over second-placed Sreenidi Deccan FC. Moyano was named Player of the Match.
Diamond Harbour took the lead in the 23rd minute when Moyano’s free-kick found Afolabi unmarked, allowing the forward to finish comfortably. Luka Majcen doubled the advantage four minutes later, scoring on the rebound after his initial attempt was deflected.
Namdhari responded in the 30th minute as Francis Nuer Addo headed in a free-kick delivered by Seilenthang Lotjem. The hosts continued to press, but Diamond Harbour held their lead going into halftime.
© AIFF mediaThe second half saw Namdhari draw level almost immediately, with Manvir Singh scoring from long range in the 47th minute to make it 2-2.
Diamond Harbour regained control late in the game. Moyano restored their lead in the 82nd minute, but Namdhari equalised again three minutes later through Dharmpreet.
The visitors moved ahead once more in the 87th minute when Lalliansanga Renthlei headed in from Moyano’s set-piece delivery. Halicharan Narzary added another in stoppage time to make it 5-3.
Namdhari reduced the margin in the 97th minute through Lamine Moro, but Diamond Harbour held on to secure all three points in a high-scoring contest.
