Four cricketers from Goa have been selected for the BCCI Under-19 (Girls) Elite Camp 2026, marking a significant development for women’s cricket in the state.
Vidhi Bhandare, Usma Khan, Prachi Nikam and Harshita Yadav are among those named for the national-level camp, which will be held from April 27 to May 23 at the BCCI Centre of Excellence. The camp will bring together some of the most promising young cricketers from across the country.
During the camp, players will undergo structured training under experienced coaches and gain exposure to high-level competition, which is expected to aid their overall development and readiness for future opportunities in the sport.
Goa Cricket Association President Mahesh Dessai and Secretary Tulshidas Shetye, along with members of the managing committee, congratulated the players on their achievement. They expressed confidence in the abilities of the selected cricketers and wished them success going forward.
The association stated that the selection of four players is a matter of pride for Goa and reflects the steady growth and rising standards of women’s cricket in the state.
