Manipal Hospital Goa has completed 5,000 radiation oncology cases as of March 30, 2026, since the department began operations in April 2018.
The Radiation Oncology unit has been providing cancer treatment using advanced radiation-based therapies. Hospital officials said the department has handled a wide range of cases over the years, focusing on treatment delivery and patient care.
The service is supported by a multidisciplinary team comprising oncologists, medical physicists, technicians and patient care staff. The hospital stated that coordinated efforts across departments have contributed to the scale of cases handled.
Hospital Director Surendra Prasad said, “This milestone reflects our team’s unwavering dedication, clinical expertise, and commitment to delivering high-quality cancer care. Completing 5,000 cases is not just a number—it represents thousands of lives touched and treated with compassion and precision.”
The hospital said it plans to continue strengthening its oncology services and expand access to cancer treatment in the region.
