The stage at Rajiv Gandhi Kala Mandir, Ponda, will resonate with rhythm and devotion this Sunday, September 14, at 5 p.m, as four young dancers — Riya Sharma, Arpita Bhange, Vardhana Dessai, and Samruddhi Gawde — present their Bharatanatyam Arangetram titled “Shivoham – A Journey Within.”

The Arangetram, a dancer’s formal debut after years of rigorous training, will be guided by Guru Smt. Durga Lakshmi Rajan, Director of Nrithyalaya School of Dance, Madgao. The evening will celebrate not just their dedication to the classical form, but also the spirit of tradition passed on from teacher to student.

The event will be graced by Shri Sudin Dhavalikar, Minister for Power, New and Renewable Energy & Housing, Government of Goa, as Chief Guest. Swami Swatmananda of Chinmaya Mission, Mumbai, and Smt. Asha Arondekar, entrepreneur and ABWCI Goa State President, will attend as Guests of Honour.

Live accompaniment will enrich the performance with Guru Dr. Deeptha Rubasundaram on vocals and nattuvangam, Vidwan D. R. Chethan Murthy on mridangam, Vidwan D. R. Raghavendra on violin, Vidwan Sanjay Sasidharan on flute, as well as an accompaniment from Sai Damodar Aarti Mandal, Madgao.
