The All India Football Federation has announced the fixtures for the Indian Football League (IFL) 2025-26 season, with the competition set to begin on February 27, 2026.
Two matches will mark the opening day of the season. Namdhari FC will face Aizawl FC, while Chanmari FC will take on Gokulam Kerala FC.
The 2025-26 season will follow a two-stage format as proposed by the participating clubs. In Stage 1, the 10 teams will compete in a single-leg home-and-away round-robin format.
At the conclusion of Stage 1, teams will be split into two groups for Stage 2. The top half of the table will advance to a home-and-away championship round, while the bottom half will compete in a centralised relegation round.
All points earned in Stage 1 will carry forward into Stage 2 to maintain competitive balance. The team finishing at the top of the standings after Stage 2 will be crowned champions and will earn promotion to the Indian Super League 2026-27 season.
The Indian Football League, formerly known as the I-League, serves as the second tier of men’s professional football in the country.
