The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has signed a deal with Star Cement to come on board as the title sponsor for the Indian Football League (IFL) 2025–26 season.
The agreement was announced on Wednesday and will see the company integrated across the league’s branding and promotional activities throughout the season.
AIFF Deputy Secretary General M. Satyanarayan said the partnership marked an important step for the competition as it looks to strengthen its commercial framework.
“This partnership with Star Cement represents an important milestone for the Indian Football League. As we work to strengthen the structure and commercial sustainability of the competition, such collaborations provide the support needed to take the league forward,” he said.
Star Cement Chief Operating Officer Pradeep Purohit said the company viewed the association with the league as aligned with its commitment to supporting sport and community initiatives.
“As a leading corporate house from the Northeast, Star Cement has always believed in supporting platforms that reflect strength, resilience, and community spirit. Our association with the Indian Football League brings strong synergy between our brand values and the vision of the league,” he said.
League Managing Committee member and Shillong Lajong FC owner Larsing Ming Sawyan said the title sponsorship would help strengthen the competition.
“Star Cement coming on board as the title sponsor is a big breakthrough for the Indian Football League. Now, with a title sponsor associating with the IFL, it is our hope that the league will grow from strength to strength each season,” he said.
The Indian Football League, formerly known as the I-League, is currently underway in its new identity following a rebranding for the 2025–26 season.
The competition features 10 clubs and follows a two-stage format. Teams first play a home-and-away round-robin league stage before the standings split into championship and relegation rounds. Promotion to the Indian Super League is at stake.
