Mt. Litera Zee School won the Mormugao Taluka Cluster 11 Under-14 Boys Badminton Tournament 2026-27, defeating Deepvihar High School, Sada, 2-0 in the final at the Indoor Hall, Chicalim Sports Complex.
The tournament was organised by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs.
Sripathi Krithik Reddy gave Mt. Litera Zee School the early advantage by defeating Haaris Mohammed of Deepvihar High School 21-7, 21-7 in the opening singles match.
The second singles proved more competitive, with Vaarad Dhote overcoming Shree Keelkar 21-11, 18-21, 15-14 to seal the title for Mt. Litera Zee School.
With the victory, Mt. Litera Zee School has qualified to represent the cluster at the State Level Under-14 Boys Badminton Tournament 2026-27.
The winning squad comprised Shreyansh K. Nale, Sripathi Krithik Reddy, Vaarad Dhote and Vihan R. Jadhav.
Officials present during the tournament included observer Yogesh Sawal Dessai, badminton official Rashmi Lobo, Taluka Sports Organiser (Mormugao Taluka, Cluster 11) Manthan V. Adpaikar, Mt. Litera Zee School Physical Education Teacher Chandresh R. Gaonkar and New English High School, New Vaddem, Physical Education Teacher Vishal Naik.
