MCC Avengers registered a dominant 65-run victory over MCC Warriors in their MCL 11 T20 fixture at the MCC Ground, showcasing a powerful all-round display.
Batting first, the Avengers put up a formidable 180 for 7 in their 20 overs. The innings was driven by aggressive contributions across the top and middle order: Venkatesh Nevagi (37 off 19) provided early momentum, Amod Borkar (38) anchored the line-up, Vedant Naik (36 off 20) kept the scoring rate high, and Amlon D’Souza added a late flourish with an unbeaten 27 off 14 balls.
MCC Warriors struggled in reply, folding for 115 in 13.4 overs. Apart from Vikas Shetty (40 off 21) and Govind Lotlikar (25), no other batter offered resistance as wickets fell regularly.
The Avengers’ bowling unit maintained tight control throughout the chase. Amod Borkar capped off an excellent all-round outing with 3 for 29, while Gopal Gawas (2 for 18) and Brijesh Prabhu (1 for 21) chipped in effectively. Borkar was named Man of the Match for his impactful contributions with both bat and ball.
