APROOP Kala Pangad Goem, a cultural organisation founded in 1982, will host the 15th edition of it’s All Goa Hindi Film Songs Singing Competition on October 2, 2025, at Gomant Vidhya Niketan, Margao. The event is being organised in collaboration with Gomanchal Sports Club and Abharan Jewellers.
The announcement was made at a press conference addressed by APROOP Goem President Shashak M. Shinkre, Secretary Sandesh D. Mapari, Contest Organising Committee President Prof. Vishwanath D. Swar, Committee Secretary Mrs. Smita V. Desai, and Abharan Jewellers’ representative Rajesh Prabhu.
The contest will be held in three categories: Junior (below 14 years), Senior (above 14 years), and Senior Citizens. Only Hindi film songs will be allowed. While juniors may perform songs of their choice, the Senior and Senior Citizens categories are restricted to R.D. Burman compositions.
A preliminary selection round is scheduled for September 14, 2025, at Margao Municipality Hall from 9 a.m., followed by practice sessions on September 28. Participants are required to submit three songs in advance, from which one will be selected for the finals.
Cash prizes of ₹10,000, ₹7,000 and ₹5,000, along with consolation awards, will be presented in the Junior and Senior groups. The winner in the Senior Citizens category will receive ₹5,000. A registration fee of ₹100 will be charged.
